TAKIFF CENTER The Glencoe Park District is proud to have served the residents of Glencoe for nearly 100 years. Our three unique facilities - Takiff Center, Watts Ice Center, and Glencoe Beach - offer numerous quality recreational programs and activities to enhance and enrich your life. The Takiff Center hosts programming year round for tots through adults, including fitness and sports, preschool programs, music and drama, creative arts, cultural explorations and much more. During the summer at Glencoe Beach, residents can enjoy a leisurely day in the sun or take part in sailing, kayaking, or beach volleyball. During the winter, Watts Ice Center offers a variety of programs, including figure skating, hockey, curling, and broomball. The Park District has experienced many exciting changes in the past year. Residents are enjoying the expanded Takiff Center, exploring the new rooms that cater to a wide variety of programming and offer rental spaces for family celebrations, parties, and meetings. Additionally, the District recently completed a Strategic Plan. This document is an essential planning tool that will guide decisions about program, facility, and service improvements during the next five years. Finally, staff is busy planning a full year of exciting events to recognize the District’s Centennial Anniversary, taking place in 2012! The Park Board would like to thank the residents for their continued support and patronage of the Glencoe Park District, its programs and facilities.

NSSRA The North Suburban Special Recreation Association (NSSRA), a partnership of ten park districts and two cities, provides recreation, leisure skills, and sports to Glencoe residents with a wide range of disabilities. Together, NSSRA and the Glencoe Park District make high- quality, fun-filled recreation programs available to everyone. NSSRA conducts more than 200 programs each year.
