BOXING Olympic Style Boxing
Community Works provides PreK-12th grade students with enrichment and intervention programs to assist students in achieving social and academic standards.
• Academic Enrichment such as Science & Stories, Spanish Club, Literacy Time, and Kinder Prep
• Tutoring services for homework and class work support
The Villa-Parke Boxing Program is an opportunity for youth to be trained in the fundamentals of Olympic Style Boxing. This training serves as an excellent juvenile diversion option while allowing participants to develop discipline and self-confidence. Our program prepares participants to compete in local shows and tournaments and several top amateur boxers are Villa-Parke alumni. Gym membership required. Our mission is to engage youth in self-expression, build academic skills, deepen social and cultural awareness, and provide alternative activities to gang participation and drug/alcohol use. Targeted youth include pregnant/ parent teens, probation youth, former drop-outs and all middle and high school students in the San Gabriel Valley.
