Old Town

Performances at the Old Town Community Theater in March

HEART AND SOUL Presented by Golden Valley Music Society and Temecula Presents

The strings are the heart and soul

of any orchestra, and this concert show- cases ours. The Tchaikovsky and El- gar serenades conjure images of love and beauty. Tchaikovsky himself wrote that, “...the Serenade, I wrote from in- ner compulsion. This is a piece from the heart and so, I venture to say, it does not lack artistic worth.” Elgar’s Introduc- tion and Allegro uses a string quartet like a solo instrument performing with the larger section.
