governing boards are under mounting pressure these days. The charge is to deliver a high level of patient care with an ever decreasing amount of funds. It’s an era of hospitals closing services and laying off employees. Getting good guidance from the community about what is important, in terms of programs and accessibility, is important to this hospital CEO. Who better

community leaders who are women? According to the U.S. Department of Labor, women make approximately 80 percent of healthcare decisions for their families. So

Hospital’s
Women’s Advisory Board. The group discusses healthcare concerns of
the community, particularly the
women and the families they direct in healthcare decisions. They brainstorm and even spend their time helping us to implement some outstanding programs. For instance, the first Power of Pink Luncheon held last fall raised more than $18,000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation Atlanta Affiliate. Members of the Women’s Advisory Board include Natalie Gravlee,

Bausano, Dottie Etris, Janet Rodgers, Patty Decker-Hasty, Micah Brown, Dr. Laura Rivers Pearson,
