by the government, increased poverty... I’m astounded that the Town thought it was a good idea to dedicate resources to curbside pickup. I’m voting no to curbside and voting against every one of them in the next election! Shame on them for trying to force higher taxes on us in this economy!”

“Thumbs down to our Senate Bill HB1560. the analysis reads: The bill establishes the interstate Health Care Compact which provides that each member state shall have the authority to enact state laws that supersedes any and all federal laws regarding health care within its state. Could this affect our Medicare or Medicaid? If we notice how our legislators have been voting such as, (cutting help to those most disadvantaged, etc). I think it is just too much power given to them whether in NH or Washington, isn’t good because they abuse it. Please contact them about this bill.”

“Thumbs down. I resent people who profess their Christian Faith. Speaking for me, I am a Christian and I don’t have the power to judge anyone! Gays and lesbians can only be judged by Him (just as the rest of us will). Take the speck out of your eye first!”

“Thumbs down to the commissioner of Public

Works in The Town of Salem who talks out of both sides of his mouth- don’t trust him!”

“Thumbs down to the person that wants birth control and abortion to be available to women. If you want to murder babies, pay it out of your pocket. Thank you.”

“Thumbs up. I just watched the candidate’s

night. Great job, Len. The choices were pretty clear for the budget committee, who to vote for, Paul Huard and Bob Bryan. They both knew what they were talking about and answered the questions well and they both cut to the point. Yay! No battling and ranting. Now, for Dane Hoover, what is it with that guy? He has a little bit of accurate information and then creates the rest. He should be a fiction writer. Now let me get this straight. He creates his own organization on a facebook page so his rantings seam legitimate, then he writes the same fiction to letters in newspapers. Oh boy, talk about ego! This is just what we don’t need in any elected board in Salem… another person who knows it all and is just a big blow-hard.”

“Thumbs down to the person

who said that John Manning was running for School Board. You need to get your facts right. You can also check John Manning’s criminal record and if you find nothing. If you don’t like him, just don’t vote for him. Obviously you don’t like him. I believe in him and I think he’ll do a great job on the Planning Board.”

“Thumbs up for political correctness. We will have real political correctness when the US Supreme Court overturns affirmative action, which has hurt so many people in this country and put things for all people on an equal basis.”

“Thumbs up. Ed Brooks got it right on political correctness. We have too many situations in the country that are causing great problems for a lot of people. We need to move forward in a positive way and get back to reality.”

“Thumbs down to all the supporters of John Manning that think we should forget his past. His past is his past and we will not forget his past. So stop putting in thumbs up comments to John Manning and saying that we should forget his past. We didn’t remember the past with another candidate and look what happened. John Manning’s past will not be forgotten.”

“Thumbs down to the person who wrote that John Manning sells beer to minors and so long. He’s never been convicted of anything. You also have your facts wrong about John Manning running for School Board. He’s running for Planning Board. You need to get your facts straight. You may check his record and you’ll find nothing. He is running to do his part for the community and trying to make Salem the best place that it can be. And for the person who stated that John can do nothing about taxes on the Planning Board, you are wrong. We have a number of

public selectmen sitting on the Planning Board as a representative who can relate to him and pass it on to the other boards. I think it’s time that all the boards work together. Our taxes are too high at 16% and our business taxes are too high at 33%. We need to work as a team on all the boards.”

“Thumbs up to the new guy running for Selectman, Tony McKehan. He was the only Selectman candidate who stepped forward and said that he was supporting school district phase II plan. Shame on the other candidates for not taking a stand. Either you stand for something or you stand for nothing. Congratulations, Tony, you took a stand and you got my vote!”

“Thumbs down. Recently having read we’re

having renovations even though we have less students, this will come to no shock to you. But we’re also having courses in Liberal Arts. If you go to school for Liberal Arts, you’ll be guaranteed of one thing – that you’ve done nothing but provide some teacher with a salary but you can’t use it for a thing. They have colleges for Liberal Arts. It’s like an extended high school. Liberal Arts should be done away with and let the teachers teach something useful.”

“Thumbs down to the people at Douglas Drive and Sherwood Circle neighborhood who run businesses out of their home. It’s not bad enough that heavy box trucks make deliveries almost every day of the week, the roads in a residential are not rated for the traffic or the weight. They eyesore of a plumber/contractor parking his box truck in his driveway which doesn’t leave the property often is used primarily as a billboard for advertisement. As a property owner and tax payer, I was under the impression that article 12 allowing commercial vehicles in home occupancies was voted down three years ago by an overwhelming vote.”

“Thumbs up to John Manning. I believe he would be an asset to any position he ran for.

I

know first hand that he is for the people. He receives calls and visits from people that need his help to this day, and he tries to do whatever he can for them. He truly cares about what happens in Salem and the people who live there. I give John Manning a thumb up.”

“Thumbs up to ex-ZBA Chairman Ron Giordano. The election process has brought us many good candidates! One is in jail, one is on his way to jail, and one cannot spell the word jail.”

Also for his diligent work on the Gambling Bill which the income from would greatly benefit the state.”

“Thumbs down to acting Ch. Uttley of the ZBA and their members and alternates for waiting for ‘Gary’ to arrive to start the meeting on 2/7/12, then not being able to continue because he left!!”

“Thumbs up. Mitt Romney! Yes! My husband and I were so shocked today at a store when we heard people would actually think of voting for Rick Santorum. What? Do you realize the way he would run the country? Please don’t even consider it. You evidentally don’t know what he is like. Think about how he will put you economically. Please. Anyone but him! You’ll be in the poor house, you’ll lose your home, your children’s education will be null and void, your job gone! He’s the worst!! Think about how he lies. He’s not what he seems to be at all!”

“Thumbs up. The Chamber candidate night

was better than in the past, the lighting round was fun and we saw what the candidates knew and did not know about Salem. Next year something different should be tired. The guy from the Patriot seem to work hard to find good questions.

“Thumbs down to the Salem Community Patriot for allowing a person like Ron Giordano to give his political views, when he should be concentrating on his legal defense.”

“Thumbs up to Mr. Azarian for representing

the ZBA Board with dignity and intelligence. We need more members of his caliber on the board.

I was at a friend’s house in aother town and their programs were nowhere close to what happens on Salem Cable.

“Thumbs up. Where is Waldo? do you know.

Get the facts!

“Thumbs up. To the changing of the Representative District, Salem will have their own and Windham can elect their own. to bad all the good ones of the current combimed district live in WIndham. Now if only the Senitoral and the Executive Counselor could somewhat match up. that must be to much to ask.

“Thumbs down. to all the

negitiveness that comes with elections and town polictics in our Town. Can everyone do what is right for Salem and if you have an AKA just get out of town and /or the state.
