“Thumbs up to Ross McLeod for Windham Selectman! His candidacy is about ensuring that Windham remains a great town to live in, transparency in town government, and fiscal responsibility during these tight economic times. His sole commitment is to you, the taxpayers. Please vote for Ross McLeod for Selectman March 13th.”

“Thumbs up to Betty Dunn for Windham School Moderator! She’s intelligent, experienced and fair. These attributes coupled with her experience as an attorney make Betty the best candidate for the job of School Moderator. Vote for Betty Dunn March 13th.”

“Thumbs up to the dedicated, hard working teachers of Windham. Our town is lucky to have you caring, nurturing, and teaching our children. Keep up the good work!”

“Thumbs down. Job Opening: Fire Chief, must build a functional firehouse to meet the needs of the Department and Town for X Dollars Maximum. I think you would have a line and a dollar number 1/4 of this cost. The chief did not decide to do this on his own. He was told by the powers to be it would happen. How wrong these old cronies are to underestimate the silent majority. Next time ask if he can do it for $1 Million. Lowest bidder that meets the needs, gets to be chief. PS- Pelham does not need a show place, we need a garage.”

do not even file. These want all their entitlements but with no paybacks to community.”

“Thumbs down to the certain ‘group’ on

“Thumbs down to the foolish person who thought the teachers of Windham did not accept the ‘largest contract offer in the history of Windham.’ Knowing the growth this town has made over the past few years, you must realize the contract offer would increase. Taking a moment to think about the situation…if it was such a

Woekel Circle that have to start partying at 10:30 pm and go till 3 am every Friday, Saturday and Holiday night. You should be smart enough being in your 40’s/50’s. When you or one of your party guest leave at 2 am and go down the road in a vehicle or on a 4 wheeler and kill someone, better hope it’s not one of my family. Sad to say, but at least it is in writing now and we told you so, it will happen. Time to grow up! Better have your liver checked! Signed: Lack of respect.”

“Thumbs up to the

Pelham Memorial School Boys Basketball team and winning the Tri-County State Championships! Coach Joe is a fantastic coach and a role model for these boys. The boys are a great group of talented athletes and great friends. This was the perfect combination of

wonderful contract, why didn’t they except it? There has to be more to it. We do not have all of the details. The teach”

“Thumbs up Pelham Firemen. Millions to get the fire trucks out of the elements for 4 months. A firehouse is not a museum. The garage is a working functional building. It does not take millions to build functional staff housing. The overtime from the PPD would have paid for this in one year. Ambulance, get a service and end pensions at the same time.”

“Thumbs down. I came home from a business trip to find that my town has gone mad! I feel a little bad actually for all the ‘young’ teachers in Windham, the newbies, I think you were misled. For those of you who endorsed the back door slimy tactic in the late evening hour at deliberative session, shame on you. The process to follow is to put your contact on as a separate warrant article, not tuck your raises into the operating budget. I wish I could simply tuck a raise into my companies bottom line without them knowing. But of course I wouldn’t, because I have character. Don’t you see what you have done? You have lost the respect of many, many voters. It will be a long time before I trust your ‘negotiations’ again. So sad!”

“Thumbs up to Linda and Holly! By my count

your fingers must be hurting from all the thumbs up you sent about yourselves and all the thumbs down for the same stuff you are posting on the message board. Hmmm, a Thumbs up to Linda at deliberative session immediately followed by a thumbs down for the selling the swamp land she bought across the street from the high school. Who could have sent those in? And the one about the treasurer and fire station, well written Holly. What’s the matter? Afraid of losing the $14,000 you will get back in impact fees if the fire station passes?”

“Thumbs down to NH. Here it is, tax season and the state needing revenue and spending cuts

coaching and talent and you all deserved this win! Congratulations everyone!”

“Thumbs up to the Pelham boys varsity basketball team for all the time and effort they have spent with the school’s drama coach. The theatrical flops and excessive game delays with exaggerated ‘injuries’ have not gone unnoticed by a single team in the league. There are also a few others that display such talent that they deserve a supporting actor award, including the smirking head coach. Perhaps those on the team that actually want to/can play clean basketball will get their chance next year to be true sportsmen rather than relying on antics that over-shadow whatever true talent they may have. This type of behavior only perpetuates Pelham’s poor reputation in the sports community.”

“Thumbs down to the Hal, Gleason and McRogers Neighborhood. Hey, you didn’t give us any money back over the past years. Are you sick? You stole it, then returned it. It was our money. Do you get it? I hope you don’t come to my house to give me back a TV.”

“Thumbs down to the submitter

who wrote ‘Obama belongs back in Kenya where he was born’ regarding Bridge Infrastructure. I was curious and looked into this. You haven’t read the entire story. Even though these projects may go out to the Chinese, it will be American workers rebuilding the bridges. The State of California rejected federal funding for the Bay Bridge in order to go with a Chinese company that offered the lowest bid. President Obama had nothing to do with that decision. I find your statement to be offensive and racist.”

“Thumbs down. In these United States we all deserve the freedom to love or marry who we choose. What a shame on Valentine’s Day,

“Thumbs up/down? Mercer’s Compensation Report states that only 2% of US companies froze salaries in 2011 compared to 13% in 2010 and 31% in 2009. Let’s share the wealth with our Windham fire, police, and teachers! They deserve it too.”

“Thumbs down to the Windham School Board members who have sent their minions out to wage a smear campaign against other candidates in town by questioning their religious affiliations and the type of religion they practice. You have reached a new low. You are obvious religious bigots, and have no tolerance for any view but

the day to celebrate love, that others would raise money and try to change the laws in New Hampshire put in place two years ago to ban marriage among those who love each other. Please find a useful cause like ridding our neighborhoods of pedophiles, feeding our children, building homes for families in foreclosure or raising money for cancer research. Why don’t you raise awareness for those who are married and choose infidelity rather than the sanctity of marriage you so espouse.”

“Thumbs down. Windham Residents: Vote no on Citizens Petition Amendment #8 regarding fences. This is a spite petition led by angry neighborhood residents. If you vote yes, you will not have the ability to build the type of fence you want on your property including rails, timber, boards, stone etc. It will also take away your right to privacy from your neighbors. The petition reads; shielding, concealing, hiding or obstructing the view of all or any portion of a lot. Is that the ‘live free or die’ you want to have in Windham?”

“Thumbs down. Windham Residents: Vote no on Citizens Petition Amendment #7 regarding commercial vehicles. If you own a large pickup truck, a work truck, a horse trailer, a dump truck, a forklift, a truck fitted with air compressors, a landscaping business, a plow, a Hummer, etc., you will lose the right to keep these on your property. Do you want to put small businesses out of business in these tough economic times? I urge you to do the right thing and vote no!”

“Thumbs down. Windham

Residents: Vote no on Citizens Petition Amendment #6: regarding commercial vehicles: Shall Mean any vehicle used or intended to be used (1) to transport goods, commodities, merchandise, produce and freight or (2) used or intended to be used in construction , industry, farming, towing, logging, automotive or other commercial businesses or enterprises. A small group of people are trying to regulate what business you can be in and where you store your equipment. When you need help from your neighbor who has this equipment, it will be gone if this petition passes and he could very well be at the Food Pantry!”

“Thumbs up to the teachers of the Windham

School District, for their continued devotion to our students and their hard work and dedication, despite two years without a contract.”

“Thumbs up to the teachers at WHS! My family appreciates your tireless efforts and dedication. We are so excited about being part of the first high school graduating class of Windham. We support you 100% and will show you on March 13th. We are voting yes on 6!”

your own.”

“Thumbs down. All who want and don’t care about others: Join your comrade who wants responsible, hard working people to move out. Wanters, you should relocate to Lawrence. They’re gov. funded for virtually everything. Than you won’t have to fight people to hand over their hard earned money. Gov. has already taken care of that problem. You’ll only have to put your hand out. All your hearts desires will be yours. Think about it, you’re really kind of the same. Draining people for every cent they have without regard for what your doing. You’re no better, so that must be where you belong.”

“Thumbs down to the SAU administrators. You lie to the community and try to cut corners to save money. You pass the buck on to the employees, rather than taking responsibility for your corrupt actions. We all know LaBranche is a figure-head and our district is being run by incompetent staff that does not have the knowledge or education to properly run a school district. It is time for the communities to wake up and for spring clean out of the SAU.”

“Thumbs up to all the people of Pelham who remember their last property tax bill. It’s time to stand up for your right to live free or die. Not to live over taxed and die poor. This year, let’s stand together and vote no on all items that will increase our taxes even by 5 cents. Lets show everyone who wants to spend our money we are mad as heck (can’t use the right word, sorry) and we’re not going to take it any more! Remember vote no and vote out all officials that want to spend our hard earned money. We need a break and time to breath just to figure out how we’re going to come up with the same money as last year’s taxes, let alone more money!!”

“Thumbs down to Windham’s Community

Develpment Officer Laura Scott for bad-mouthing people and businesses all the while begging for donations for her ‘causes.’ How much do we pay her to do that? Not only is she unethical, but a wolf in sheep’s clothing to boot.”

“Thumbs down to the fringe groups trying to

take over Windham town and school government. Say no to the religious and self-righteous nuts and vote in the incumbents this election! Otherwise, say buh-bye to the Windham we know and love.”

“Thumbs up to Ross McLeod! You have done

so much for Windham and don’t deserve the witch-hunt being undertaken by C. Lewendowski and his 9.12 Project extremists! They have wasted more taxpayer money with their rediculous activites than you ever did. Not only that but I hear Lewendowski brought a gun to candidates night. What, pray tell, was the reason for that?”

“Thumbs down to Windham politics 2012…. What I am witnessing is a kin to what I have seen while on several trips to Russia during election time there. Completely disgusting and from individuals who want to improve our town!”

“Thumbs down to ignorance and the people in Pelham who do not value investments in education. And please stop making excuses about the economy because it has recovered. As Abe Lincoln once said, ‘You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.’ And to the educated people in Pelham seeking progress...step up at the polls this year and don’t stay home. We need you to get involved.”

“Thumbs down. The dirtiest of dirty politics has arrived in Windham. There is a handful of people, some in high places, some on town boards and work places and some you think are just plain citizens. They want to be in elected positions. Their goal is to infiltrate town boards and positions and take over. They will do to Windham what the Legislature is trying to do to New Hampshire. (Just look at some of the proposed bills) They will try to ruin people’s lives without just cause. Vote for people that you know and trust or that

your friends will vouch for. This town election is critical. Please vote March 13 and know your candidate.”
