EXHIBITIONS FROM THE BOROUGH COLLECTIONS From 24 March 2012
Echoes of the Edwardian Era Following on from the Gallery’s successful Victorian Stories exhibition in 2010, this is a chance to explore the history and art of the Edwardian era.
7 July – 8 Sept 2012 A Century Later
This exhibition of contemporary work from the Art Gallery collection provides a counterpoint to the Edwardian paintings and objects on display in Gallery Two, which themselves were contemporary when the Gallery opened in 1903 and was extended in 1912. It reflects the Gallery’s longstanding tradition of collecting and provides an opportunity to see more recent additions to the collection, including our work with the Contemporary Art Society.
