INDUSTRYNEWS BSF SWITCHES TO ZOOM READY

BSF Windows & Conservatories is one of the growing numbers of window companies switching to Zoom Ready.

The Milton Keynes based company supplies and installs windows, doors and conservatories, specialising in conservatories. BSF was attracted by Zoom Ready’s good looks and value for money, and changed to Zoom from Global. BSF has since installed three Zoom Ready roofs and is delighted with the results.

Linda Fowell, Co-Owner of BSF Windows & Conservatories said: “We are very impressed with Zoom Ready. It’s a great

quality product, strong and very easy to install – much quicker and easier than other systems we’ve used. Zoom Ready’s service has been excellent too. The sales support team will do anything to help and delivery only takes seven days, whereas other systems can take up to three weeks.

“We’ll be using Zoom for all our roofs

from now on – we’re happy, our fitters are happy, and most importantly our customers are happy.”

JOINING FORCES AT WESTBURY WINDOWS

Westbury Windows & Joinery, manufacturer of timber windows, doors and roof lanterns, has recruited Chris Wood and John Mumford, formerly of competitor fenestration business Mumford & Wood.

As well as increasing sales to individual

developers and home owners, Chris Wood, formerly sales and marketing director and managing director at Mumford & Wood, will aim to increase architect specification and brand awareness through what is said to be a ‘diverse range’ of products.

John Mumford, formerly CEO at Mumford & Wood, will work on a technical consultancy basis. Having been involved in the manufacture of high quality bespoke

timber products for more than 30 years, he is said to be experienced in the ‘craftsmanship and innovation’ of products, together with all technical aspects of product development and manufacturing process.

Jonathan Hey, managing director of

Westbury Windows, commented: “This is a real coup for us: this duo are amongst the most experienced and knowledgeable in the industry. Following our expansion and investment programme, securing the talents of both Chris and John seems like a natural fit in the evolution of our business.”

Chris Wood said: “Having previously helped

build an extremely successful and profitable premium brand, with a turnover exceeding

£10 million, my intention is to build upon the already strong Westbury brand and present it to a wider architectural marketplace. I was more than delighted to accept Jonathan Hey’s offer as his vision and genuine commitment to UK manufacturing will enable the Westbury brand to flourish in the top end of the timber window and doors market. I am confident that Westbury will become a considerable force in the windows industry and a by-word for craftsmanship, precision and quality.”
