0001 OPEN 0001

The following open swim times are available for individuals with special needs and their immediate family members living at the same address within an NWSRA member park district. The purpose of offering these open swims is to give our residents an opportunity to swim in a park district pool during a light use time. Most times listed are also available to park district residents. The times listed below are the ONLY times when an NWSRA swim pass will be honored. The individual with the disability must be present in order for the family to utilize the pass. Purchasing an NWSRA swim pass will allow you and your family to swim during all of the times listed. This pass does not replace the park district swim pass. If these times are inconvenient for you, or if you are interested in swimming at additional times, we encourage you to purchase a swim pass through your local park district. If extended family members or friends wish to attend open swim, they must pay the daily fee.

Time

Open Swim Supervision NWSRA staff members are not present during open swim times. Park district lifeguards are on duty, but are not familiar with each individual swimmer's special needs. Supervision of the open swim participants is the responsibility of the parents or guardians. If a swimmer has any conditions warranting safety concerns such as seizures, NWSRA recommends that the lifeguards and/or pool manager on duty be informed of the situation, and that a Coast Guard approved personal fl otation device (PFD) be considered for the swimmer.

Please complete the family registration form at the back of the brochure, including names & birth dates of a maximum of fi ve immediate family members who will be attending the open swim.
