NWSRA is now a part of the Northern Illinois Paralympic Sport Club. This is a cooperative grass-roots program designed to introduce Paralympic sports to young emerging athletes at a local level. Paralympic Sport Clubs are community-based organizations that involve youth and adults with physical and visual disabilities in sports and physical activity, regardless of skill level.


U.S. Paralympic Archery


Archery is a sport that anyone can do. Join your friends, have fun and challenge yourself at this paralympic sport. Benefi ts of this training program include increased strength, fl exibility and focus. Archers must be able to follow simple instructions and safety procedure and have use of one arm or ability to use a mouth to grip. Sled hockey is open to individuals with physical impairments who are either ambulatory or non- ambulatory. No experience is necessary as this program will focus on skill development and learning the fi ner points of team play. The goal of the program is to eventually develop a sled hockey team that will train and compete out of the Triphahn Center.
