Renxiang Ding – known affectionately by his patients as ‘Ding’ – and Meilan Shen.
Ding was one of Sharon’s teachers in Nanjing, where he also studied for seven years at Nanjing University of Acupuncture and Traditional
Chinese Medicine. He obtained a BSc in Traditional Chinese Medicine and an MB in Acupuncture.
After qualifying as a doctor in Chinese medicine, Ding also taught western students and translated international training courses for doctors around the world. He moved to Plymouth to join Sharon’s team in 2002.
Meilan also studied at the Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and went on to work for 14 years as a doctor, practising Chinese medicine at a major hospital in the city.
She gained wide-ranging experience using acupuncture and Chinese medicine for
conditions that included cardiac problems, stroke rehabilitation, arthritis, sciatica and other pain conditions.
In 2003 Meilan was also invited to work with Sharon at the Acupuncture Clinic in Plymouth, and during the time that she has been working there has built up a strong reputation as an expert in her field, attracting patients from far and wide.
