NVT Launches Ethernet Over Coax (EoC) with New 16-Ch Kit - ISC West # 2087
Network Video Technologies (NVT) has released a new Ethernet over Coax (EoC) solution positioned to support coax-based legacy CCTV installations that are migrating to IP.
The Model NV- EC1701 Ethernet over Coax EoC Transceiver is a media converter that allows 10/100 BaseT Ethernet and PoE power to be transmitted up to 2,500 ft using coax cable. EoC Transceivers may be linked together and rack mounted using the NV-RMEC16 Rack Mount Tray Kit. The Tray Kit allows for up to four single NV-EC1701 Transceivers and their related power supplies. The Tray Kit can support up to (16) IP or Megapixel cameras.
The NVT products are covered by a limited lifetime warranty, and are UL and cUL listed, and CE, RoHS, and WEEE compliant.

Camera - ISC West # 21037 MOBOTIX D14 DualDome Camera, a weatherproof and shock-resistant 6.2megapixel surveillance camera that is the powerful successor to the MOBOTIX D12 cameras. With two separately adjustable camera modules, each with 3.1 megapixels, the D14 offers a variety of ways to examine a scene because the two modules can be combined to create one image. The D14 also provides a digital PTZ and has no mechanical moving parts. Impressive 6.2 Megapixels Equipped with a 90° wide angle and tele lenses, the camera can monitor an entire scene and, at the same time, the tele lens can record portrait photos in front of a particular area, such as an entrance. With one D14 installed on the wall, the two 90° lenses even allow 180° recording when monitoring an entire parking lot, for example. With the addition of a digital sensor switching function, the D14 can also be used as a day/night camera since it can be equipped with one color and one black/white module ensuring the most brilliant color during the day and high sensitivity at night.
Budget-Friendly Megapixel Cameras with Excellent Video Quality - ISC West # 5057
While ACTi is going forward with the development of multi-megapixel cameras carrying market leading technologies, another important product line has been released at the same time to satisfy the needs of a large market segment - the budget sensitive projects that have high demand for perfect video evidence, but at the same time expect to have all the other less important features of the camera removed in order to optimize the cost of the project. The newly released simplified TCM-series 1.3-Megapixel models come with the same video quality as their fully featured counterparts while having much more attractive price.
While working on the project proposal, you may consider combining the fully featured and simplified models for the locations where specific non-video functions are required such as audio or alarm inputs, you may suggest the complete version, and for other locations where only the good video quality matters, you may go with the optimized model.
All these new TCM-series models are also very economical in terms of power consumption; therefore they are all able to work with PoE Class 2 power supply, which means that it is further possible to optimize the cost of the project by introducing PoE Class 2 data switches instead of Class 3.
IndigoVision has made it possible for unlimited clients to view remote cameras over restricted bandwidth connections such as satellite links.
This powerful feature allows multiple simultaneous client views of a camera from a low bandwidth, remote location. Only a single stream of video is sent from each IndigoVision camera at any one time over the low bandwidth part of the network, passing it on to as many viewers as required. Seamless PTZ control is provided automatically for all clients viewing the stream. IndigoVisionís integrated IP Video surveillance system makes it possible to monitor sites in remote locations, using wide area networks and satellite links. The lower bandwidth used for remote monitoring can reduce the number of possible viewers per camera, but IndigoVision clients are now able to share the stream from any camera with many viewers simultaneously.

Barix Compact Master Paging Station Debuts Stateside at ISC West # 8134
