Classes of ’82 and ’87 in Reunion October 19-20, 2012


David “Dave” Guill ’80, ’92 M.Ed.was re-elected to a third four-year term to the Charlotte County, Va. Board of Supervisors. He was first elected in 2003, again in 2007, and re-elected in November. Dave currently serves as the board chairman and lives in Randolph, Va.


Stephen “Steve” Norcio ’80 won his fourth Pop Warner Football Division I National Championship as a coach on Dec. 10, 2011 in Orlando, Fla. Pop Warner was founded in 1929 and is the only national youth sports organization that requires scholastic aptitude to participate. Steve is president of MTA Company, Inc., a machine tool distributor that serves the Mid-Atlantic region. He lives in Sandy Spring, Md.


Laurie Shelton Moran ’81 was elected to the American Chamber of Commerce board of directors in September. She is president of the Danville Pitt- sylvania (Va.) County Chamber of Commerce and lives in Gretna, Va.


D. “Scot” Currie ’82 represented the United States at a global commercial satellite conference in Paris, France, in September. Scot is the director for com- mercial imagery acquisition and integration for the U.S. National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and lives in Broadlands, Va.


Eddie Hughes Jr. ’83 published his first novel, The Bryant Family Chronicles: Death and Gold in Zara Zote, which he hopes to be the first in a series. It is a story of pirates, treasure, mystery, and adventure in Florida. Eddie lives in Herndon, Va., with his wife, Amy Cario ’81.


Mark Granger ’85 received the Sports Hall of Fame Award at Homecoming 2011. Mark was a member of the LC track and field team. He won an Old Dominion Athletic Conference championship in the two-mile relay. While at LC, he competed


in the 800m, mile, and 1500m, and during his sen- ior year won the 1500m with an outstanding time of 4:02. Mark is currently the owner of Granger & Company, P.A. He resides in Salisbury, Md.


John Reilly ’86 has been named director of partnership development at Studio Squared in Richmond, Va., a full-service provider of national, place-based digital media solutions, with a focus on data-driven systems that provide screen-specific


control over programming. John will lead a team responsible for implementation of sales and sup- plier marketing strategies for the Walmart Smart Network, an in-store media network. John joined the agency in 2009 and previously served as senior manager of partnership development. An Alumni Association board member, he lives in Midlothian, Va.


Deborah Silverman ’88was named as the executive director for the Central Virginia Area Agency on Aging (CVAAA). She lives in Lynchburg, Va.

Kimberly Wells Yeaman ’93 M.Ed. has been accepted into Cohort 4 of the Virginia Department of Education’s Aspiring Special Education Leaders Academy. The academy is designed for educators who aspire to be in a leadership position and who are not currently a special education director. Indi- viduals must be nominated and complete an appli- cation to be considered for selection. Kim lives in Danville, Va.


Patricia “Pat” Davis Price ’95, ’05 M.Ed. has been inducted as a new advisory board member of the Lynchburg branch of The Salvation Army, where she will serve on the board’s Community Relations and Development Committee. Pat is the interim


director at the Center for Community Development and Social Justice at LC and is currently attending classes at Virginia University of Lynchburg as a 2012
