F. Edward “Ed” Williams Jr. ’73, ’76 M.Ed., in collaboration with Great Physician Rehabilitation Foundation, Inc. (Dumaguete City, Philippines), developed the Peace Corps response volunteer manual, Practical and Purposeful Living, an instruction manual for functional education life skills for children/ youth with disabilities. Ed’s hometown is Gladstone, Va., but he is currently serving with the Peace Corps in the Philippines.


Nancy Range Anderson ’76 has published her book, Job Search for Moms, to help people become better able to manage the job searching process. Nancy is president/partner with Blackbird Learning Associates in Bound Brook, N.J., where she lives.


Kevin Lightle ’79 M.Ed. is the New York regional director of training and implementation at Therap Services, LLC. The company provides on-line appli- cation services focusing on people with mental retardation and developmental disabilities. Kevin lives in Liberty, N.Y.

Sports Hall of Fame Team Awards The 1986 Women’s Lacrosse Team The 1976 Men’s Baseball Team


The 1986 Women’s Lacrosse Teamwas named a Sports Hall of Fame Team of Distinction at Home- coming 2011. The team finished its season 14-4 and earned, for the fourth consecutive time, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference champion title. The team received its fifth consecutive bid to a national tournament but was ousted from the NCAA’s in the semi-final round. The award recog- nizes the achievements of the team and all of the team members who contributed to its success. The 1976 Men’s Baseball Teamwas named a Sports Hall of Fame Team of Distinction at Home- coming 2011. The team finished 30-7 and was ranked third in the nation for Division III baseball. The team was recognized as champion of the Virginia College Athletic Baseball Association (VCAA). The team’s field percentage (.963) and Earned Run Average (1.97) earned the No. 1 ranking in the nation. In scoring, the team finished third in the nation with an 8.7 average. The year 1976 was the last year that LC competed in the VCAA before joining the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
