During a recent tour of the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford, Va., friends John ’59 and Susan Moore of Blythewood, S.C., Dale ’57 and Peggy Miller Almond ’61 of Wilson, N.C., and Ken ’60 and Nancy Chiles Burnett ’59 of Falls Church, Va., were surprised to learn that their tour guide was an LC alumnus, Paul Coleman ’57 (front in brown jacket).

Emilee Hines Cantieri ’55 has published another book, Til Death Do Us Part, which tells how to pre- pare for the inevitable death of your beloved and what to do after it happens — financially, legally, medically, and emotionally. The book can be pur- chased through
Amazon.com or from Emily directly. She has authored several books, as well as more than 300 articles and short stories, and is co-author of the series Old Virginia Houses. Emilee lives in Hendersonville, N.C.

Classes of ’62 and ’67 in Reunion April 20-22, 2012
Robert “Bob” Fredrickson ’67 received the Distinguished Alumni Award at Homecoming 2011 in October in recognition of his outstanding professional and personal achievements. Bob has a successful career as a dentist, including service in the U.S.
Army Dental Corps while stationed in Germany. His professional achievements include fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (1980), mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (1998), and fellowship in the International College of Dentists (1999). In 2010, Bob was awarded the Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition by the Academy
of General Dentistry. Bob’s service to society includes coaching, teaching, and mentoring college students, high school students, and youth. After graduation, Bob initiated the Williamsport Area High School Boys Varsity Soccer Team and founded the Susquehanna Valley Adult Soccer League. Under his leadership, sportsmanship and drug testing policies were initi- ated for the Williamsport Area High School. Bob’s involvement with his community includes aviation, theater, and volunteer services for the Welfare Clinic of the Susquehanna Health System. Bob resides in Williamsport, Pa.
Roger Green ’67 has retired as president of Bench- mark Systems in Lynchburg, Va. Founded in 1978, the company now focuses on web-based software for medical practices. Roger will remain as chairman of the board of directors. He also serves on the board of trustees for Lynchburg College. He lives in Lynchburg.

Classes of ’72 and ’77 in Reunion October 19-20, 2012
Glenda Reed Haynie ’72 is the new director of research, effectiveness, and planning for Rappahan- nock Community College in Saluda, Va. She lives in Irvington, Va.
Gregory “Greg” Brewer ’73 was elected in November as the fourth bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida. Greg has served as an Episcopal priest for more than thirty years, serving parishes in Central Florida, Philadelphia, and New York. He and his family plan to relocate to Central Florida.
