Sign Up For St Elizabeth Hospice's

Midnight Walk 2012

Ladies only! You are invited to take part in St

Elizabeth Hospice's Midnight Walk on Saturday 19th May 2012.

This will be the fifth annual Midnight Walk to raise money for St Elizabeth Hospice. And new for this year will be a School Disco- themed warm up and a two routes to choose from - five or eight miles.

The walk starts from Ipswich Town Football Club and goes through Ipswich Town centre at night, poignantly passing by the Hospice itself in Foxhall Road, providing a moment for reflection. Many of you may have friends or family touched by St Elizabeth Hospice care. And, whatever your age or fitness, we hope you will find it rewarding to get together with other women for this worthwhile cause.

Around 1,900 women took part last year raising around £200,000 for the Hospice - making it the charity's biggest fundraiser of the year.

Dress to impress on the night with School Disco-themed costumes, wigs, bunny ears, feather boas or whatever takes your fancy. Merchandise to get you looking good will be on sale in St Elizabeth Hospice shops and on the night. And after you have finished the walk there will be a bacon roll and a hot chocolate waiting for you.

Lions Club of Woodbridge & District

We've received many very moving let- ters and cards of thanks from recipi- ents of our Christmas parcels; it is always rewarding to know just how much a simple package of groceries can mean to someone who is feeling lonely. We took the chance to enjoy a few social events before things hot up again for Spring. Woodbridge & District won the South Suffolk trivia quiz by a handsome margin and now go on t the East Anglian Final where the competition gets really serious. Planning is well underway for the Elmhurst Extravaganza, our traditional curtain raiser to the Summer season. The afternoon of Sunday May 6th will see Elmhurst Park come alive with attractions from Punch and Judy and coconut shies to bouncy castles and

some new rides for the younger chil- dren. The afternoon events of old fashioned family fun begin from 2pm Looking further ahead, the date for the annual Martlesham Heath 10k and Fun Run has now been set for Sunday 14th October; more details to follow. We have been delighted to see a number of new members joining us recently, brining new ideas and wel- come extra pairs of hands to what we do.
