Very likely, you may even be evaluated and treated by Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Angie Gonder. She is the practice manager and one of the provid- ers who calls FastMed home!
Angie has called Boone home since 1985 and many of you may know her from her 7 years of working in ICU, or her 15 years in the ER at Watauga Medical Center. Angie’s drive to continue her education and become a Certified FNP was inspired by the late Dr. Sherwood Horine, who she worked closely with in the ER at Watauga Medical Center, and who always encouraged her to further pursue her passion of caring for people. “I love having the opportunity to care for each and every person and to have the opportunity to improve their lives by making them feel better faster. That is exactly the environment I hope to create for all patients that come to FastMed.”
All FastMed locations have highly qualified medical professionals available to address non-life threatening injuries or illnesses. They will see anyone six months or older. Their goal is to get you in and out within an hour, making FastMed more convenient and affordable than an emergency room and an important back up to your primary doctor when they are closed or you are out of town.
