Free Drop-in Activities
The Little Draw Sundays 11 March, 1 April, 6 May, 1.30pm–4.30pm Free drop-in drawing workshop for all ages Join Artist and Illustrator Anna Saunders whose work incorporates a wide range of techniques and styles. From comic to classical, Anna’s drawings range from small and intricate to large and bold.
Loud Day! Round the World in
One Museum Monday 2 April, 10.30am–12.15pm and 2pm–3.45pm Discover unexpected treasures from around the world and join in with map reading, postcard making and much more in this relaxed workshop in which families can make as much noise as they like. A ‘chill out’ space will be located downstairs offering the chance to escape the hustle and bustle. Artist Marc Woodhead and educator Roxanne Matthews will lead this fun and truly interactive event.

Explore the collection through new eyes and handle objects as they guide you through its intriguing corridors and magnificent rooms.

Fabulous Furniture Wednesday 6 June, 10.30am–12.15pm and 2pm–3.45pm Come and draw swags, swirls, flowers and the dancing monkeys that grace our wonderful decorative gilded brass and turtle shell furniture. Then make your own collage pattern in gold and bright jewel colours with the help of artist William Riding.
