Intro Welcome

T e fourth annual Datacenter Leaders’ Awards continues to refl ect the growth of the European data center industry and the innovation shown in the face of new challenges. As the UK’s Carbon Reduction Commitment metamorphoses into a tax, resource effi ciency gains added momentum across Europe where ICT is becoming the key enabling technology for the future of European society and business.

In 2010 the profi le of entrants, fi nalists and winners refl ected the accomplishments of the European data center industry as a whole with top-quality entries from 12 countries.

T e Leaders’ Awards are now recognized as the industry’s most prestigious accolade. We extend our thanks to both judges and entrants for ensuring that the awards process remained consistent with our objective of “recognizing innovation and rewarding excellence in facility design and operations”. Well done to each of the fi nalists and many congratulations to the deserving winners. For more on the winners, visit www. datacenterdynamics.com. Over coming months we will be publishing video interviews and in-depth profi les on each award winner.
