THE METHOD
There are two main ways that market trend results can be collected and reported. A sample at one point in time is compared to another sample at another point in time or it is possible to track individual personnel and organisations. For example, by collecting repeat measurements from the same people over time, it is possible to reveal whether an individual organisation has increased or decreased planned expenditure. It is also possible to track if solutions under consideration were in fact adopted and how individual facilities have developed to adapt to a period of corporate and technological upheaval. Repeat measurements also permits a heightened capacity for modeling the complexity of organisational behavior and enables a level of detail beneath the surface of overall market findings to emerge and reveal market dynamics of how events of the last year have affected real world purchasing intentions.
