FOCUS CABLES UPDATE
ON RANGE OF OPTICAL CABLE PRODUCTS One of the world’s largest makers of interconnect products, Amphenol, has announced broad technology and strategic marketing deal with Luxtera
(AOC) products. According to a recent report from IGI, the revenue for AOCs will increase signifi cantly in the next fi ve years, driven by growth in cloud computing, high-performance computing and consumer video.

The alliance comes on the back of Amphenol posting stronger-than-expected Q1 fi nancials, with revenues topping $771m, compared with $660m for the same period in 2009.
As part of the collaboration, Amphenol will market optical interconnect products based on Luxtera’s Silicon CMOS Photonics
Technology through its global sales and distribution channels.
