The Great Tythe Barn Where? In Tetbury. Despite being so central, the 16th-century barn feels secluded thanks to a tree-lined driveway. What makes it special? It’s licensed for ceremonies, and there is a choice of three caterers who can do anything from a formal sit- down meal to a buffet, BBQ or even a hog roast. Best for? Those who can’t make up their mind; there is so much choice here How much? According to the 2013 price list Jan-March and Nov ranges from £2,250-£3,250, April, Oct and up to 13 Dec £2,500-£3,750, May-Sept and after 13 Dec £3,000-£4,750 (all inclusive of VAT). •

Kingscote Barn Where? Travel along the A4135 for five miles and you’ll come across this most special of converted 17th-century Cotswold stone barns. What makes it special? The barn is licensed for ceremonies, so you can have the ceremony and reception all in one venue. There is a choice of four caterers, and can seat up to 150 guests. Best for? Romantics. The views are stunning, with a rose garden and gazebo, and accommodation for the bride and groom, as well as guests. An all-in-one venue that ticks every box. How much? According to the 2013 brochure Nov-March ranges from £2,000-£2,800, April £2,050-£3,300, May-Sept £2,600- £3,800, Oct £2,000-£3,250 (all exclusive of VAT). •
