Calcot Manor Where? On the outskirts of Tetbury. It’s right by the A46 so perfectly accessible and easy to find for guests that are travelling from further afield. What makes it special? Locals will be well familiar with outside caterer William’s Kitchen at Calcot, who are top choice of caterers at many of the wedding venues across the South West. Here, at their home at Calcot Manor, they really excel. Weddings are held in a stylish 14th-century barn adjacent to the main manor house. The Conservatory Restaurant can also be used when the hotel is booked out on an exclusive basis. Best for? Foodies. This is restaurant-quality food produced on a mass scale. How much? According to the 2013 price list, hire of the barn from 8am until midnight (based on a minimum of 60 guests) costs £1,500 Jan-March and Oct-Dec, £1,750 April- Sept. Exclusive use of the hotel starts at £15,495 up to £36,670. •

Westonbirt House Where? Designed by Lewis Vulliamy in 1870 and the country seat of Robert Stayner Holford, Westonbirt House is the jewel in this small village’s crown. A mere four miles from Tetbury. What makes it special? For anyone who has children that attend the school, or if you attend the gym here, you’ll know that this house is a joy to view in any season. The magnificent honeyed stone glows in the early evening light, while the interior is majestic. Then there are the gardens. There are water features, an Italian garden, and a Bishop’s Seat. You can even erect a marquee on the terrace and link up to the main house. Civil ceremonies can be held in the library, while the breakfast can be enjoyed in the dining room or great hall. Best for? Those that want to impress. This house has the wow factor. You won’t want to leave. How much? The house costs £1,950 for a Saturday wedding, although discounts are available for midweek and late bookings. •
