The UIM Environmental Award
Για 3η συνεχόµενη χρονιά, το βραβείο για το περιβάλλον. Τα κριτήρια περιλαµβάνουν καινοτοµία, σωστή περιβαλλοντική διαχείριση, περιορισµένη κατανάλωση. Εφέτος την διάκρι- ση έλαβε το Azimut Magellano 50. Στο ίδιο πλαίσιο αλλά για πρώτη φορά διακρίσεις έλαβαν 3 εταιρείες για την ορθή συµπεριφορά και µελέτη των προϊόντων µε φιλικές τεχνικές προς το περιβάλλον. H αυστριακή Frauscher, από τα πρώτα ναυπηγεία που παρουσίασαν σκάφος µε υβριδικό κινητήρα, για την έρευνα και ανάπτυξη στο τοµέα των «πράσινων» τε- χνολογιών στη ναυπηγική. Ειδική µνεία έλαβε η αµερικάνικη Mercury η οποία από το 1997 έχει να επιδείξει µια σειρά από δράσεις σχετικά µε την βελτίωση των εκποµπών στους κινη- τήρες της µε σηµείο αναφοράς τον UIM F-4S low Emissions. ∆ιάκριση έλαβε και το project Planet Solar, το catamaran που ταξίδεψε γύρω από τον κόσµο µε ηλιακή ενέργεια η οποία αποθηκεύεται σε κυψέλες των 537 τ.µ. Τέλος κατά τη διάρκεια δόθηκε το βραβείο
S.Casiraghi Memorial Trophy στην Η2Ο για την συνεισφορά στην διοργάνωση και προβολή των αγώνων ενώ εκπρόσωποι από club τιµήθηκαν για την προσπάθεια και συµµετοχή.
The environmental award, whose criteria include innovation, proper environmental management and limited consumption, was presented for the third consecutive year. This year the distinction was given to Azimut Magellano 50. Notably, this was the first time distinctions were given to three companies for their correct attitude and study of products following eco-friendly techniques. The Austrian Frauscher were one of the first boat builders to present boats with hybrid motors and they were awarded for their R&D in the field of “green” technologies in boat building. Special acknowledgements were given to the American Mercury which, since 1997, have undertaken a series of initiatives on the reduction of engine emissions. The point of reference here was UIM F-4S low Emissions. Another distinction was awarded to project Planet Solar, the catamaran that travelled round the world on solar energy stored in 537m2 cells. During the event the
S.Casiraghi Memorial Trophy was awarded to Η2Ο for their contribution to the organisation of the event and the promotion of the races. Finally, the club representatives were honoured for their efforts and participation.
