Putting Heart and Solar into the job
Striving to remain at the forefront of new technology, experienced electrical contractor Julian Haddock teamed up in 2011 with a roofing specialist partner to form Heart & Solar a dedicated solar power installer to the Yorkshire region.
W
ith over 16 years expertise as a leading electrical specialist, Heart & Solar clients can rely upon them to deliver the right PV supply and installation
solution to a high standard. Whatever your requirements Heart & Solar have the capacity, installation team and the technical skills and dedication, to meet your solar PV needs. The Heart and Solar team pride themselves on providing honest and transparent customer advice, service and care. Julian said “We are pretty unique as we take on the jobs that other companies turn down. The awkward jobs, where the roof isn’t south facing where there is a need for multiple inceptors or the roof isn’t stone or slate. We take on every job, no matter how difficult. “Because we are a tight-knit team of five installers. when one of us goes out on site following an enquiry, the client will be dealing with the same person right through to installation – a seamless service. We don’t have salespeople, just technicians, so there’s no hard sell. We believe our honesty, prices and quality of work speak for themselves.” Heart & Solar are about to launch a new marketing campaign to reflect any possible changes the government's DECC department may wish to implement and also are to launch a brand new website to assist their clients to choose a system that is right for them. Julian added: “We’re getting ready for a possible rush
from customers wanting to get panels installed before the April deadline should the government win their appeal and implement the requirement that a property needs to meet B&C energy ratings to get incentive.” Having installed a solar thermal systems to his own house
many years ago, Julian practices what he preaches. He said: “I am passionate about promoting ways to reduce energy and our future plans are to expand in to other renewable energy technologies such as thermal, wind and ground source.” He has also just set up a new website aimed at promoting a
network for Yorkshire-based companies who provide an eco friendly product or service. “One of our partners creates really beautiful kitchens from recycled material,” says Julian. “From the money the partners make we will donate a percentage towards helping a community project like helping to fix a church hall’s leaking roof.”
