...continued Magnus Bäckstedt spoke to The Cycling Post afterwards and paid tribute to the team’s hard work. “We’ve put in a lot ofhard work over the winter in terms of building a team and training. We’ve had two big training camps to prepare for this season. I knew we were all in good shape when we got here but it’s always difficult to win. There were some awesome bike riders here today.
“We were strong from the off. There were some nice softening up attacks but we kind of felt like we were in control of the situation. We were always there with three or four riders consistently; whenever they went we were there in numbers. It just makes life easy because you are always in control of the race, you can do what you want from there. I’m proud of the boys.”
