It is our intention that all children should be given maximum possible access to a broad and balanced curriculum and that every child will make good academic and social progress during their time at Ferry Lane. Children who need additional support with their learning will have their individual needs met through a structured programme of learning involving support from school staff, parents / carers and sometimes from other Support Services.

The school has a well attended Breakfast Club which runs 5 days a week. There are also extracurricular clubs and classes provided by teachers and support staff from time to time. These may focus on Homework, ICT, Reading, Writing, Art, Sports, Cooking or Gardening. There are also booster classes run for children in Upper KS2 and Year 6 also have the opportunity of attending a week’s outdoor education course at Pendarren House Outdoor Education Centre in Wales run by Haringey Council. There is an active School Council which meets regularly. The PTA is run by parents who are committed to working with the school to improve the provision for children. There is a friendly Stay & Play Group run twice a week for pre-school children and a weekly parents coffee morning with invited speakers. The Governing Body is full and works hard to improve the school.
