elcome to the Ferry Lane Primary School Community! We are pleased you are considering joining our school and hope that this prospectus will give you all the information


you need to make the right choice for your children and to enable them to make a good start at our school.


Ferry Lane is a one form entry primary school with children aged from 3 to 11 in classes from Nursery to Year 6. Our children speak many different languages and come from many different countries, cultures and faiths. Our community is diverse and vibrant, giving us plenty of opportunities to learn about each other and promote respect and tolerance, as well as celebrating festivals and cultural events. We are committed to engaging well with our community and provide opportunities for family and lifelong learning.


In our teaching and learning, we aim to support every child to make the most progress they can and challenge them to stretch themselves academically. Our children’s achievements show that they make progress here and we strive to give them every opportunity to develop in all areas of the curriculum, as well as socially. We know our children are well behaved and welcoming, as visitors often remark on this. We hope you will find the same when you come to visit us.
