CHILDREN’S PROGRESS How will I know how well my child is doing?

T

eachers assess every child’s progress in all subjects and this is reported to parents in written format as an end of year report during the summer term. We also hold termly Parent’s Evenings to give you an insight into your child’s learning. Teachers use ongoing (formative) assessments as well as formal tests (summative) to inform their judgements on children’s progress. These are tracked and monitored by the Senior Leadership Team and reported to the Governing Body regularly.

We have extra parent meetings to review IEP (Individual Education Plans) for children on the SEN (Special Educational Needs) register. All parents are welcome to make appointments at any time with the class teacher, Deputy or Headteacher to review children’s progress in addition to the termly Parent’s Meetings.
