ATA Arms looking
for growth O
ne of Turkey’s leading gunmakers, ATA Arms, is
expecting to beat the tough global economic climate and sell more guns than ever this year. In 2011 it sold more than
40,000 pieces and fully anticipates beating that fi gure by at least 10 per cent during 2012. Being located in Istanbul
gives the fi rm an ideal position between the west and east to take advantage of all markets. T is is strengthened further
by ATA Arms’ off erings, which combine top quality and craftsmanship with aff ordable prices. Another key combination is
the mix of the fi nest European steel and the pick of Turkey’s best walnut, alongside an enviable quality-control process. It not only produces its own
range of shotguns but ATA Arms has also started producing two models for California-based giant Weatherby. But its main business is still

boasts more than 80 models to choose from. Cengiz Neftci, ATA Arms’
sales, marketing and export manager, said: “Although we have a large range, we are currently working on new models that will be even more appealing to customers. T ey will be launched very soon. “We are strong at creating,
designing and making new models in a very short time – it’s one of our best features and gives us a big advantage over our competitors. “Our biggest selling point is
price with quality. It is vital to give customers true value for money with each gun and we believe we achieve this.”
Alan Paine works with the Duchess of Northumberland
Country-clothing expert Alan Paine is set to launch its Duchess of Northumberland collection. T e range has been produced
in collaboration with the Duchess of Northumberland herself, whose Northumberland Estates is one of the most prestigious shooting grounds in the UK. Based on aspects of her
own favourite clothing, the ladies’ shooting-wear collection comprises key pieces crafted in pure-wool tweed complemented by classic knitwear in a luxury cashmere blend. All garments will carry a joint
label and it is understood that work is already under way on additions for next year. In a recent interview with
blogger April Bowden, the Duchess described the collection as “fun and beautiful and good

Fabarm unveils US operation
Italian gun manufacturer Fabarm has established a subsidiary in the US to better serve the North American market. T e facilities in Cambridge, Maryland, will include distribution,
service and marketing. A management team of fi rearm-market professionals has been
recruited to establish Fabarm in the US market. T e fi rst products will be available as soon as April of this year and

these will include a number of semi-automatic and over-and-under shotguns. Future products will also comprise a collection of rifl es, tactical and
