OPEN MIC NIGHT Thursday 5th January 8pm Thursday 2nd February 8pm

The evening is now being hosted by popular local band The Avatars, a 6 piece fronted by singer Nuala McDermott and fiddle player Karen Higginson.

“Our aim is to encourage local talented musicians to perform on a professional stage with incredible sound and lighting facilities.” said Mike Neenan, the band’s lead guitarist and founder member. ”We also want to bring in more varied types of music, and not be limited to just rock and blues”. The Avatars play a wide range of music, from country and rockabilly to Celtic Jigs, 70’s classics and chart hits.

Musicians are welcome to play either on their own or with others, or they’re welcome to come on stage with the Avatars and jam along.

So if you enjoy great local music, or want to perform on-stage, come along for an amazing night.

Performers: to book your spot, please email us at wharf.openmic@gmail.com, or talk to the Avatars on the night.

M&M THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS PRESENT

“CINDERELLA” Saturday 7th January 3pm

Magical theatre is what M&M Theatrical Productions does best and this classic children’s pantomime, Cinderella, is no exception. There are only two people in the world who care about Cinderella - her pet mouse Buster and her fairy godmother, but Cinderella doesn’t believe in wishes and magic and things... or does she? Can the cruelty of Cinderella’s

wicked stepmother and her ugly stepsisters force Cinderella to wish for help? The magic will only work you see if Cinderella wishes from her heart and really believes in the power of magic. She desperately wants to go to the Princes ball at the Palace but her sisters have torn her dress and she doesn’t have anything else to wear. This wonderful piece of children’s theatre will have your audience, crying, laughing and booing at the stage. It truly is a magical experience. Suitable for children aged 4-14 years.
