“Our three seniors have been there before and they’re doing a good job of keeping our team focused,” said Pittman. “I think our success comes from our versatility. We’re not big, but all the girls can post up as well as score on the move.”


“The state tournament is a long road,” cautioned Pittman. “We’ve got to play well every night. Sallisaw Central, Talihina and Savanna


are all capable of beating you. But until someone in Class 2A beats Snyder, last year’s champ, you’ve got to call them the favorite.


Class 2A boys race to state will include Three Rivers’ teams with plenty of talent. The Gore Pirates as well as Oktaha and Porter are among the teams in the discussion.
