St. Patrick’s Day


Celebrated the world over, from the heart of Ireland to the Far East, St. Patrick’s Day is a major event in the social calendar, and as such represents a great opportunity for pubs and bars across the UK to boost their takings signifi cantly. Of course, you will not achieve this by simply opening your doors as usual. More than a little effort must go into your offering, starting with your marketing and advertising strategy, and you would do well to start the ball rolling a fair amount of time in advance. Brighton. As an Irishwoman herself, Roche is passionate about St. Patrick’s Day and a lot of effort is put into the preparation. She says of her own strategy: “I normally advertise for this event a month beforehand, and I must say every year it gets better and better for us, and it’s nice to see the same people coming back year after year. We have got a really good name now for ourselves as the day goes, and every year the
