Hertfordshire Open Winner's Show Catherine Hieatt

Friday 6 July - Sunday 2 September

Winner of the Hertfordshire Open Exhibition 2011, Catherine Hieatt's work addresses 'time' as a succession without distinction.

Her installations, presenting moving image and audio recordings, depict what the artist calls 'ambiences'. These brief narratives unfold duration as a 'haiku' for the digital age.

The Hertfordshire Open has marked itself out as the definitive annual showcase for local artistic talent and last year over one hundred artists from across Hertfordshire submitted work.

Open: Venue: Admission:

Monday to Saturday 10.00am - 5.00pm. Sunday 2.00pm - 5.00pm Museum of St Albans Free

The open submission exhibition was open to artists of any age living, working or studying in Hertfordshire, and all Alumni of the University of Hertfordshire.
