Allan Ehrlick Named Equine Canada Volunteer of the Year


Ottawa, Ontario—Equine Canada has named Allan Ehrlick as the 2011 Volun- teer of the Year.

Ehrlick, of Campbel- lville, ON, has been a member of Equine Canada since 1960, and has worked tirelessly throughout the years, contributing thou- sands of volunteer hours, to improve equestrian sport in Canada.


In 2010, at the behest of Ehrlick, the Ontario Equestrian Federation (OEF) volunteered to administer the equine drug testing program on behalf of Equine Canada. At the time, the program was not centralized and because of Ehrlick and the OEF, Equine Canada was able to build the infrastructure necessary to assume the administration of the pro- gram in 2011. Ehrlick vol- unteered countless hours in

“Horsepower” Premier show will take place at the Can Am Equine Emporium March 16-18th This new show will showcase the many breeds of the equine world. Herb Williams (Super Dog Creator) and Ross Millar (Ram Rodeo/ Can Am ) have joined forces to build an


entertaining show offering powerful family fun while showcasing breeds of the equine world.


The show will feature Friesians, Quarter Horse, Gypsy Vanner, Haflingers, Thoroughbred, Morgans, Spotted Draft, Appaloosa, Percheron, Curly Baskar and others competing in barrel racing, pole bending and an obstacle course. Herb Williams and Ross Millar will co-host the event and Amber Marshall (CBC Heartland) will make a special appearance on her day at the Can Am show. Herb Williams stated, “I have been in the entertain- ment business 40 years. My love for dogs is known to many and I am absolutely enjoying learning the beautiful traits of the many breeds in the equine world. Our goal is to pro- vide everyone a powerfully fun filled show while also showcasing the many breeds”.
