Spandex UK celebrates a successful Open House

Spandex, the one-stop supplier of complete and innovative solutions to the digital printing and signmaking industries had hundreds of customers through its doors during the two-day Open House event in Bristol in November 2011. The Open House highlighted the latest trends and innovations for the printing and signmaking industries.

Open House Accessories stand. Avery’s Vehicle Wrapping workshop also proved popular

with Mactac® demonstrating a range of products including their back projection film, GlassMovie. 3M focused on vehicle wrapping and window film demonstrations and Spandex’s own brand, ImagePerfect™ had many products in use including Wall paper IP2411 and IP2534PA easy-to-use film which enables fast and simple application at point-of-sale by non-professional end-users.

extensive range or printing technologies. Spandex is the exclusive distributor of the latest UV flatbed printers from Durst and SwissQprint which impressed many visitors who took advantage of promotional hardware offers available during the two days of the show.

Another highlight of the event were two conferences delivered

by Print Business Growth Coach, Nick Devine on maximizing profitability. A range of hands-on workshops including Vehicle Wrapping, Banner Finishing, Display Solutions, Modular Sign Systems, Textile Marking and Gerber Edge Media offered a variety of new application solutions. Signs Express Chester was the winner of the Epson 9700

aqueous printer worth £3,000. “It’s definitely worth coming to the Spandex Open Houses anyway and winning the prize just makes it extra special. We look forward to using the printer in our new premises which will open in January 2012,” says Steve Lloyd from Signs Express. The first day of the Open

House concluded with an entertaining evening of live music, food and drinks. Phil McMullin sums up

the event: “We’re delighted with the number of visitors that attended the open house, a clear indication of the value that these events offer the industry. The attendees commented about the importance of learning about new products and having direct interaction with industry experts. Sign makers and printers can expect an even bigger event in 2012.“ For further information visit
