A good example of a particularly prestigious event Icon SLS supplied flags to was the G20 Conference in London. The company provided the National Flag branding to cover all
countries taking part in the conference, with a mixture of internal flagpoles that were used as a backdrop for the National Leaders whilst they were speaking and external flagpoles at the Meet and Greet point. Overall, Icon provided in excess of 300 flagpoles and flags. “Icon SLS won the work because of our experience in relation
to forward planning and methodology in execution, our ability to deliver on time and to budget,” says Cathel. “We were innovative in the design and manufacture of unique flagpoles. The project was challenging in that it was undertaken in a high secure environment, with a very short timescale and required us to work as part of a much larger team.”
Hampshire flags – on Mount Kilimanjaro
Hampshire Flag Company regularly donates flags and banners for charitable events and fundraising purposes. Pictured are two flags on the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, thanks to gruelling fundraising expeditions by teams from two leading firms.

Zaki and Dominique Kanaan from K2Dental.
the top of Mount Kilimanjaro by Zaki and Dominique Kanaan from K2Dental in Fulham, London. They raised over £6000 for Bridge2Aid, a charity that provides vital free dental care, education and training in Northwest Tanzania as well as a community development programme to help the poor and disabled in Mwanza. Both Zaki and Dominique are members of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD).
HMS Liverpool’s homecoming boosted by banner and flags
To celebrate the return last winter of HMS Liverpool from a seven month stint off the coast of Libya, Hampshire Flag produced, in partnership with The Portsmouth News, this giant 20 metre long banner pictured. The Royal Navy Type 42 destroyer sailed into its Portsmouth
base amidst cheers and waves from well-wishers and to the sight of the banner, which said ‘Welcome home HMS Liverpool’ along with ‘The Crazy Red Chicken is back’, referring to the ship’s nickname. Hampshire Flag also donated 100 handwaving Union Jack flags and 200m of Union Jack bunting.
