ver dreamt of what it would be like to study in Oxford; to spend glorious summer days meandering through the beautiful streets of the ‘city of dreaming

spires’; or to be one of the ‘insiders’ rather than a tourist in this historic place; and to live and learn in the heart of this famous centre of study? Oxford Royale Academy (ORA) seamlessly combines

learning about your favourite subjects with all-inclusive social and cultural activities in this stunning setting. Imagine... you wake up in a centuries-old room, take a

walk before breakfast in Christ Church Meadow before embarking on a voyage of academic discovery with a small group of other like-minded students. After a light lunch, you visit some of Oxford’s world-famous colleges, followed by an afternoon talk on a thought-provoking subject, before indulging in a superb three-course evening meal in the college dining hall. And it does not end there; in the evening you may go on to a production of Antony and Cleopatra in the college gardens, followed by a late-night drink in Inspector Morse’s favourite pub. This is a typical day on ORA's adult summer school

programme, which is already winning accolades. You study with an expert tutor in a class of your choice in the morning and join the optional activities and tours arranged by the friendly and professional staff in the afternoons and evenings. Your visit can be as jam-packed or as laid back as you want it to be. But you will do more than scratch the surface of everything Oxford has to offer. The all-inclusive programmes run over two weeks, with a

wide range of classes to choose from. You do not need any previous knowledge to take the classes, just an enthusiasm for the topic. The ORA experience includes afternoon and evening activities – including trips to the Ashmolean and Pitt Rivers museums, ‘high tea’ at Waddesdon Manor, and concerts by candlelight – as standard.
