The five day show, returning to London’s ExCeL from February 26th to March 1st, is set to

Fairtrade Fortnight When: 27th February –11th March Where: Nationwide
www.fairtrade.org.uk
‘Take a Step’ for Fairtrade will be this year’s campaign call to people in the UK to engage with the Fairtrade Foundation’s vision of an even bigger movement “for positive change on unfair trade”, including making the switch to buying Fairtrade. The Foundation will be challenging the
public to think about what they can do throughout 2012 to make a difference to the lives of farmers in the developing world who produce the products they buy. This could be by choosing to buy a Fairtrade coffee on the way to work, or making sure their weekly shopping baskets contain one or two more Fairtrade products, or encouraging their friends and family to switch to Fairtrade.

The 2012 conference organising committee are working hard to develop an academic programme for the conference, which will be aimed at delivering the skills needed to support the inevitable increased expectations of students; and the resulting demands that will be placed on you and the hospitality sector within Higher and Further Education. A comprehensive supplier exhibition
will allow access to the latest food and innovations from across the industry, and as always there will be ample opportunity to network with other colleagues from across the sector, many of whom face the same challenges as you do. Preparations are also well underway
for the 19th annual Competitions Event, which this year for the first time will also incorporate the annual Conference. Delegates and Competitors from
universities and colleges all over the UK will be participating in this unique event, held at the Blackpool Hilton Hotel and Blackpool College.
