“There is absolutely NOTHING for my age group to do in the area, I find it very isolating and the only things I can go to are 45 mins bus journey.”


“The park was great, we could go there without Mum and Dad worrying as it was on the camp and very safe.”


“Only two things to do over two nights - Guides and youth club. The rest of the time I’m at home doing nothing much.”


“It’s difficult for me to get to the youth club due to the timings and where we live, as my Mum works and doesn’t get home till 6.15pm and my Dad is away.”


“We are near a town so for my age group its easy to access shopping and cinemas.”


When asked how they would rate the facilities for their age group within 5 miles of their home, two thirds of voters told us that they thought they were either okay, good or excellent. Only 13% thought they were very poor.


We acknowledge that this data is somewhat limited as we have not identified the areas where the respondents live but the feedback they provided is valid and it gave younger family members an opportunity to tell us what they would like to see available to them.
