Families are clearly able to keep in touch using a variety of methods. The young people we met during the workshops told us that, while they missed their parents/ siblings when they were away, it was easier to deal with the separation because they were able to communicate with them using media that they are familiar with eg. chat forums.


However, feedback from teenage children of deployed Service personnel highlights that this is an area that could be improved further.
