About the OECD Toolkit
The OECD Sustainable Manufacturing Toolkit aims to provide a practical starting point for businesses around the world to improve the efficiency of their production processes and products enabling them to contribute to sustainable development and green growth. The Toolkit includes an internationally applicable common set of indicators helping businesses measure their environmental performance at the level of a plant or facility. This edition focuses on the environmental aspects of sustainable development.

About the Author: Rae Ann Johnson, J.D., is an Attorney and the Council Director for the Environmental, Health and Safety; Sustainability; Government Contracts; and Ethics and Compliance Councils at the Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation (MAPI) in Arlington, VA. She has authored reports in the fields of government procurement and acquisition policy, as well as health care policy issues. She also has expertise in corporate social responsibility and Department of Defense issues. Ms. Johnson received her J.D. from American University, Washington School of Law; an MSW from Washington University; and a B.A. in Public Policy from The College of William & Mary.
