INDUSTRYBRIEFS PROMOTIONS ANNOUNCED AT B&L


B&L Information Systems has announced the promotion of Brad Clark to Senior Software Development Engineer, and Tara McKibben to Software Development Engineer.


Brad is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a bachelor degree in computer science. He has been with B&L since March of 2000 and has been key to the planning and development of Odyssey since its inception.


Tara is a graduate of Michigan Technological University with a bachelor degree in computer science. She has been with B&L since March of 2008 as an Information Analyst. In that position she has been focused on data conversions and working with Crystal Reports.

BROST FOUNDRY CO. ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION


Brost Foundry Company of Cleveland and Mansfield, Ohio announced the acquisition of Lodi Foundry Co. in Lodi, Ohio, as of December 17th Details of the acquisition were not made public.

Lodi Foundry Company was founded in 1946 by Earl Martinson & Carlton Brewster. In 1986, John Wenner purchased the company from its original owners. Lodi Foundry’s facilities are capable of handling all types of aluminum casting needs.


Brost Foundry was founded in 1910 and carries on the strong tradition of producing top quality sand castings in a wide range of non-ferrous alloys including aluminum, brass, bronze and copper. In addition, it has a precision investment foundry for producing net or near net ferrous and non-ferrous castings and a machine shop which offers customers a completely machined casting. Brost plans to keep the Lodi facility open, and to use it to supply larger size castings to its customers.

C&L ALUMINUM REMAINS ON MARKET


The principal owners of C&L Aluminum Foundry, located in Fort Worth, Texas, recently announced that the company remains on the market and is actively seeking new ownership. The seller prefers a stock purchase, but is receptive to an asset purchase for the right price. The foundry is also potentially looking for a new manager to operate the company - either a potential buyer or as someone who might prefer to remain with a new buyer.
