PlayNetwork EMEA helps brands to develop the right use of media to help develop the right setting for customers through audio and visual elements, adding a little excitement to the retail environment. For large retailers, entertaining customers can be big budget stuff, but there are a number of smaller scale products that can help to give stores a little something extra without breaking the bank. One example of this is a product developed by Partner Tech UK. The SP-1000 is a high-specification EPOS terminal with a twist. As well as featuring a powerful, energy efficient dual-core processor, the terminal also offers an innovative, secondary customer-facing screen that retailers can use to market special offers, promote new lines and prompt customers to extend their purchases through active on-screen

marketing at the point of ordering. Not only does this give customers something to look at whilst their purchases are going through the till, it also provides the retailer with a key marketing opportunity. Keeping customers content and


entertained is beneficial business, as even the smallest distractions can keep customers in store and make them more likely to make purchases. It’s all a case of assessing each retailer individually and finding the right solution.
