Eleven films showcasing Jewish heritage and traditions are shown during the 16th annual Greater Phoenix Jewish Film Festival Sun., Feb. 12 through Sun., Feb. 26. Three Valley locations host the films: Harkins Crossroads 12 at 2980 E. Germann Rd. in Chandler; Harkins Camelview 5, 7001 E. Highland Ave., Scottsdale; and Harkins Arrowhead 18, 16046 N. Homes open for art tour
Five area homes showcasing the work local artists will open for The Sunbird Art Club’s second annual Art Tour from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sun., Feb. 26. The event provides an opportunity to enjoy art, visit the Sunbird community and meet its residents. Rockers can join friends from Chandler’s RE/MAX Infinity at the Second Annual Peñasco Palooza concert March 17 in Rocky Point, Mexico.
Held next to Chango’s Bar on Sandy Beach, the event features Steve McCarty of Steve Miller Band fame and Curly Smith, formerly of the group Boston, for an All-Star rock concert of classic ‘70s and ‘80s hits.
