‘St. Catherine’ play in SL Church also hosts fashion show, S. Arizona trip
Sister Nancy Murray, real-life sister of actor Bill Murray, whose movies include “Groundhog Day,” and “Ghostbusters,” will reprise her role as “St. Catherine of Siena” at St. Steven’s Catholic Church in Sun Lakes. The Dominican sister has performed her one-woman play more than 300 times, portraying a saint “who spoke boldly to popes and princes.” Performances are from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Fri., March 2, and from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sun., March 4. Ladies guild fashion show
Join the members of St. Steven’s Ladies Guild for “A Toast to Fashion,” from 10 a.m. to noon, Wed., March 14 at the Oakwood Clubhouse in Sun Lakes. Tubac trip Join members of St. Steven’s Catholic Church in
Sun Lakes for a bus trip to the Tubac Festival of the Arts in southern Arizona on Thu., Feb. 9. The event showcases the work of hundreds of visiting artists, craft persons and musicians from around the country and Canada. There are also restaurants and a food court for food options in Tubac. Participants leave from Sinclair Travel at 24827 S. Dobson Rd. in Sun Lakes at a time to be announced. The cost is $48 per person, which does not include driver gratuity.
