DAY TWO

ART HOPPING • Lane Knight

Across town to Fort Worth. Pick up some beautiful scarves by Sir Alistair Rai at Lane Knight. Le scarf is Parisian chic at it’s best. The boutique has a cutting edge designer aesthetic that we love. As for the scarves, Kiran Rai, the brainchild behind Sir Alistair Rai, is passionate about peace, social progress and her Indian heritage. Her scarves and shawls are gorgeous. Fashion with a conscious.

• The Modern

Who knew the Fort Worth Cultural District could rival New York’s best. You’ll adore Fort Worth’s answer to New York’s MOMA. Be sure to check out First Fridays where the first Friday of the month, it’s cocktails and live music from 5 to 8pm. Japanese architect Tadao Ando created a zen oasis that makes the museum look like it’s floating on water.

• The Nasher Sculpture Center

You’ll have flashbacks to one of our favorite Paris museums – Musee Rodin. Musee Rodin has beautiful sculptures displayed in a gorgeous garden setting as does the Nasher. The Nasher is an exquisite “roofless outdoor museum,” in the heart of downtown. It’s like being in another world.

• Parigi

After art-hopping across town, head to neighborhood bistro Parigi. It’s modeled after Parisian bistros with a New York flava. We heard about Parigi from Paule Caillat, owner of Promenades Gourmandes, a cooking class and gourmet tour company in Paris. Parigi is warm and cozy. Dessert is always to die for. You’ll love it!
