As a leader of the youth service movement, YSA campaigns and events activate, fund, train, and recognize the youth and youth mentors at the forefront of youth service. In 2011, YSA’s investment in young people and communities resulted in:  A record-breaking $1,007,300 in grants  800 grants to young people and youth-led projects internationally


 Millions of youth engaged in service and thousands of communities served


 550,363 youth tracked based upon measurements including impact, scope, and scale of projects, as well as student achievement, workplace readiness, and stronger communities


 $11,755,753 worth of volunteer service hours, at a cost of just $1.14 per direct beneficiary
