www.springfair.com Spring Fair International 2012 WHAT’S ON 3 WELCOME TO SPRING FAIR
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Spring Fair International 2012. Following a two year transformational period and consultation phase with our visitors, exhibitors and industry associations, every part of the show has been refreshed and re-edited with your comfort and convenience at the front of our minds.
We have pulled out all the stops to make this an unrivalled buying experience that provides a stimulating and enjoyable environment for all our retail visitors, from the smallest UK independents and online traders to the world’s most prestigious department stores and multiples.
Our aim has been to make the show easier to shop, reduce queues, provide more rest and relaxation facilities and to create a better all-round ambience. With over 300,000 brand new products to choose from it would be very difficult – actually impossible - to get around Spring Fair in just one day, and I sincerely hope you have the resources available to spend more time here than you might have done in previous years.
Wide new boulevardstyle aisles will make it easier for you to browse exhibitors’ stands, while plenty of extra seating will enable you to rest and recharge your batteries within the halls. We have also employed many more ‘Here to Help’ staff throughout the exhibition – plus a team of

‘Bus Buddies’ and car park attendants – to ensure you don’t lose either your bearings or your car during your visit to Spring Fair.
This daily show guide is packed with information about all our new features and initiatives – too numerous for me to detail here – so may I suggest you take a moment or two to familiarise yourself with the new layout before heading out into the halls.
May I also take this opportunity to wish you all a very successful and inspiring visit to Spring Fair International 2012, and a very prosperous trading year ahead.
Sincere regards Louise Young Managing Director, Emap Connect Home & Gift
SPOT THE THREE KEY FUTURE TRENDS
Visitor feedback consistently indicates that insight into future trends is one of their primary reasons for attending SFI, second only to new product sourcing.
The three key concepts for you to look out for on the show floor - as defined by Spring Fair sister brand World Global Style Network (WGSN) - are Eco-hedonism, Hyperculture and Radical Neutrality, all with their own unique Pantone colour palette. These are stunningly presented using products chosen
SEASON’S CLUB MOVES TO
CONCOURSE SUITES VIP and International visitors please note that the Season’s Club has been moved to the Atrium concourse suites 1 & 2 (opposite the entrance to hall 9) where it will form a networking hub alongside a large Exhibitor’s Lounge, Press Room and the International Meet the Buyer programme.
HELP THE HEROES
Our chosen charity for 2012 is once again Help for Heroes. If you would like to contribute to this very worthy cause you can leave a donation when you pick up your free show Catalogue, which are located by the information points. Text "Heroes" to 70900 to donate £5 (you will be charged £5 plus your standard network rate. Helpline: 01494 750500)
from Spring Fair exhibitors at the WGSN- hosted Trend Bar and seminar theatre in Hall 6.
The demand for trend-setting new gift and homeware is reflected by significant growth in Contemporary Gift & Home (now in Halls 6 and 7) and a Contemporary Gift & Home New Product Showcase in the Hall 4 – 8 link- through. This is in addition to a general New Product Showcase in the Hall 5 – 9 connection.
PRODUCT FINDING POINTS AND WIFI
The new home for Kitchen, Dining & Housewares is Hall 1, where a brand new feature called Trend Box will form a special product showcase for this part of the show.
Trend Box highlights some of the most innovative and desirable new launches in this product category based on the three key trends forecast by WGSN: Ecohedonism, Hyperculture and Radical Neutrality.
An array of fantastic suppliers, showcasing new and innovative ranges are displaying their new products for the first time here this week including: Design Objectives, Branded Housewares, Keep Cup, Montsoreau, Loveramics, Salt & Pepper, Italy’s Ghidini Cipriano, Gerbera from Sweden and Luxembourg company Modern Twist. • Headline sponsor of CookLive! is the Cookshop & Houswares Association.
