“ This is an exciting time to be training

for work with children and young people.

You will be studying a completely new qualification that

has been developed with experts in

the field, such as universities and

national organisations representing children and young people.”

Tassoni et al, 2010

The employment prospects of Qualified Child Care and Education workers are good and improving. More and more parents/carers are continuing to work or are returning to work and this increases the demand for high quality childcare and education. There are also opportunities for qualified staff to become Nursery Managers or to set up their own businesses e.g. private nurseries.
